The heart of a light and versatile expedition bike, and the endpoint of our Hook platform. This titanium version retains the vigor of our hooligan tourer and distills it into a light and comfortable frame. Able to accommodate multiple-wheel sizes, along with myriad luggage configurations, it’s ready to be the centerpiece in any number of different builds. Paired with our light yet staunch full-carbon EXT V2 fork, this provides triple cage mounts, along with steadfast handling in rough conditions. HIGHLIGHTS: - Titanium 3Al-2.5V frame with T47 BB shell fender mounts and through axles. - Full carbon tapered fork with internal light cable routing, through axles and triple cage mounts. - Sram UDH derailleur hanger. - Toptube bag direct mounts, triple cage mounts on downtube and seattube for optimized bottle position, bottle cage mounts underneath the downtube, and rear rack mounts. - CNC yoke for maximum tire and chainring clearance. - Ovalized toptube for supreme steering precision and comfort. - Biaxially ovalized downtube for optimized power transfer and steering precision. - Front derailleur compatible. - 12 mm through axles front and rear.

R5 has one job-get to the top, fast. But for all the glory and fanfare that comes with a summit finish, they're rarely the only climb of the day. And while a race isn't usually won on a descent, they can certainly be lost. A climbing bike that can't carve a hairpin is a bit like a cup of decaf coffee. This is the fourth iteration of the R5, and while weight and stiffness have varied over the years, the handling, poise, and unmatched prowess on a descent have been consistent since day one. FASTER IN EVERY DIRECTION - The new R5 frame is 130g lighter than the previous model—a 16% reduction from an already-light frame. And while aerodynamics weren’t a focus with this frame the way they would be on an S5 or P5, bringing the cables inside reduced drag by 25g. LESS STIFF, STILL FAST - The R5 is stiff, but not too stiff—the Goldilocks of climbing bikes if you will.
