Having ridden for the first 55 years of my life then finding myself battling with cancer caused me at 66 years old to look for an assist. The first question was Pedallic vs Throttle,,, The second was brand,,, The third was Beach vs Road,,, and then after researching, sitting on, riding, After trying about 25 different brands I chose a 2016 Cannondale Contro-E Rigid (with my second choice being a Specialized Turbo-X). Both were priced almost the same so that did not come into play. Pedallic vs Throttle was a no-brainer,,,, if I want to twist a throttle I would buy a Vespa. I put MY Saddle on both of them, rode them both on several occasions each for about 25 miles, and chose the Cannondale for two basic reasons: if not for which I could live with either one. First I prefer the Bosch mid motor rather than the rear hub motor on the Turbo-X. It makes more sense, Bosch is Best, and the bike was built around it; rather than the motor being slapped in the front or rear hub. Second the Contro-E just feels more controllable for the Urban riding. Other than adding some extra lighting (the neighbors are old and cannot see), replacing the stock seat with my comfy 'butt' worn-in gel which I had custom made years ago and adding a "BodyFloat" Isolation Seatpost (a God-Send in itself for ease of lower back and other pain sufferers). After my first 2,100 miles (average ride is 30 miles) since I purchased it I have no qualms suggesting the bike for any urban traveler. The most important thing to remember is decide what you require/want in and from a bike, put your seat on them and try them out. Get the one that fits you and your body. Any good bike store will fit the bike properly to your body. Enjoy the ride,,,,,
