As you must know by now, wool resists odor. We have found that is a good feature in a sock. It also wicks and insulates better than cotton or all synthetic, so you can wear them comfortably in a pretty wide range of climates. Surly Socks are made by DeFeet using Merino wool and a small amount of synthetic material for increased durability. These ones here are 5" tall. Hi, I'm the Surly Lightweight Neck Toob. You might remember me from such films as “It's Cold! Don't Forget Your Neck Toob!" and “Look At This Thing, It Came From a Sheep!"
